A sequel to Tim Burton's 1988 film Beetlejuice is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024, according to PEOPLE. Jenna Ortega is in talks to play the daughter of Winona Ryder's character in the original film. Michael Keaton is expected to return as Beetlejuice, with production starting in London this summer. The script reportedly comes from the creators of the Netflix series, Wednesday.
Discussions about the sequel have been ongoing since 2011 with some members of the original cast expressing interest in returning. Geena Davis has said she would like to revisit her character but noted Barbara Maitland is a ghost.
