Songwriter Kyle Jacobs, husband to singer Kellie Pickler, died by suicide on February 17 at the age of 49, according to an autopsy report. The report showed Jacobs had no drugs in his system, but had a history of chronic alcohol use and pseudoseizures. His death was investigated as an apparent suicide, according to the Nashville Police Department.
