The Creamline Cool Smashers are set to defend their title against sister team Choco Mucho in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2nd All-Filipino Conference. The match will take place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 15. The Cool Smashers, led by head coach Sherwin Meneses, are determined to give their best in every game. They are prepared to face any team and hope for positive outcomes. However, they will have to compete without their star setter Jia De Guzman, who has joined Japan's V. League. Kyle Negrito, who has served as a backup to De Guzman, will take on the role of the main setter. The team believes Negrito has the potential to shine and is confident in her abilities. On the other hand, Choco Mucho, led by head coach Dante Alinsunurin, is looking to improve upon their previous performances. After finishing seventh in both the First All-Filipino Conference and the Invitational tournament, they managed to secure a third-place finish in Vietnam's VTV Cup last August. Alinsunurin expressed his desire for the team to reach their collective goal in this conference. The squad, consisting of players such as Sisi Rondina, Bea De Leon, and Caitlin Viray, is determined to make the necessary adjustments and has a good chance of winning. The match between the Cool Smashers and Flying Titans is expected to draw a large crowd, and both teams are ready to face this challenge. Creamline is confident in their team's improved skills, while Choco Mucho is fueled by their recent success and intends to continue progressing.
