The cause of actor Ray Liotta's death has been revealed one year after his passing at the age of 67. Doctors have stated that he died of acute heart failure, pulmonary edema, and atherosclerosis. Liotta passed away in his sleep while filming a new movie at a hotel in the Dominican Republic.

He was survived by his fiancée and his daughter from his previous marriage. Liotta had been a smoker, but he appeared in Chantix ads, a Pfizer brand, to help him quit smoking. Liotta was well-known for his role in Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas, in which he played Henry Hill. His sudden death shocked his friends and co-stars who paid tribute to him.
