Noah Woods, a 5-year-old boy, saved his family from a house fire that broke out in their shared bedroom on Sunday morning. He grabbed his 2-year-old sister and the family dog, escaped through a window, and woke up his uncle to alert the rest of the family.

All nine members of the family got out safely, with only minor burns and smoke inhalation. Noah will be recognized as an honorary firefighter and presented with a lifesaving award for his bravery. The family lost their home, but they are grateful to be alive thanks to Noah’s quick actions.
