Gwyneth Paltrow recalls the 'magical summer' she spent with a pre-Friends Matthew Perry

Gwyneth Paltrow took to Instagram to express her grief and reminisce about a "magical summer" she spent with Matthew Perry before his rise to fame. Paltrow revealed that they met in 1993 at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts, where they both performed in plays. She described Perry as funny, sweet, and fun to be with. During that summer, they enjoyed swimming in creeks, having beers at a local college bar, and sharing kisses in a field of long grass. At the time, Perry had just filmed the pilot of Friends and was anxiously awaiting its release. As history shows, the show became a massive success, turning Perry into a household name. He went on to star in numerous films and TV shows, including Fools Rush In and The West Wing. Although Paltrow and Perry eventually drifted apart, she always cherished their friendship and felt happy whenever they crossed paths. Along with many others, Paltrow expressed her deep sadness at Perry's reported passing and hopes that he has finally found peace.
